To drink or Not to drink...Tea

Anysha

After water tea is the most consumed beverage in the world. How is tea bad for your health? There has been research that illustrates why tea is could be detrimental to your health. The New England Journal of Medicine published a case about a 47-year-old woman who consumed three times the average amount intake of tea. She began to develop brittle bones and lost her teeth.  Can drinking tea put you at risk for certain types of cancer? Research from the University of Glasgow found that men who drank more than 7 cups a day has a 50% higher risk for prostate cancer. Not only does the amount of tea you consume affect your health but the temperature in which you drink it does too. The British Medical Journal showed that drinking hot tea increases your changes of esophageal cancer. Although drinking tea could be bad for you some tea could actually be good for your health it just depends on what is actually in the tea. Tea rich in antioxidants could be beneficial to you.
