What are the core beliefs of the Mormon church?

Ellen Rehm

After the LDS people came into talk to our class last Wednesday, I found myself really interested in all their beliefs.

"Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and the Son of God. He is our Redeemer. The Holy Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ's mother was Mary, His father on earth was Joseph, that he was born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth, and labored with Joseph as a carpenter. When he turned 30, He began a three-year ministry of teaching, blessing, and healing the people in the Holy Land. He also organized His Church and gave His apostles "power and authority" to assist in His work," (mormon.org).

All of this means that the Mormon people believe every title for Jesus Christ is proof that he is the only way people can ever be forgiven for their sins due to him suffering and being crucified.  By Jesus being crucified, people can be forgiven for their sins and one day live in heaven with him. Mormon people believe that only through God's mercy, people can be saved. They also believe that one day Jesus Christ will return to reign on earth in peace for a thousand years. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and will be the Mormon peoples Lord forever. My religion is Christianity and the beliefs of the Mormon church are very similar to Christian views.
