While there isn't much on different complementary medicine practices for college students compared to adults out of college or younger children, studies have shown that complementary medicine can be very helpful to the college population. Studies have shown that college students often have more stress than the average person. Since complementary medicine is along side conventional medicine and helps not only get the body healthy but also the mind, this practice has been shown to be very helpful to stressful college students. Since college students often have a lot on their plate, their mind is often times the fist to be "unhealthy". Following an unhealthy mind, the body can have many affects. With complementary medicine the mind can be more "healthy" by lowering their stress levels. Practices that include yoga, meditation, and breathing treatments are some of the most used complementary medicine practices by college students.
