What natural/CAM products have been proven effective?

One of the
most popular forms of complementary and alternative medicine that has been
proven effective is Omega-3 fatty acids with EPA and DHA. These fatty acids are considered to be
essential and benefit our health in a number of different ways. They are proven to decrease inflammation all around
the body, including around blood vessels and joints, which could relieve some
complications with blood pressure, cholesterol, and arthritis. They also help to lower triglycerides, or
levels of fat in the blood. Recently some studies have shown that cultures that
consume high volumes of omega-3 fatty acids actually have lower levels of
depression than societies that do not. Fish
oil and omega-3’s have even been shown to reduce complications related to and symptoms
of ADHD in children. Omega-3’s can be
very beneficial when combined with a healthy diet and exercise but should be
discussed with a doctor before started.
