How does the enviroment affect your sleep?

There are several factors that can explain why you aren't getting the best sleep at night.  Noise, temperature and light are just a few that could be causing you problems. 

Noise: We all know it's probably a little difficult to sleep with a blasting stereo right next to your head, but did you know that even a dripping faucet could keep some one from getting a good nights rest.  However, familiar sounds like a fan, rain or city noise can actually be soothing.  Next time you are sleeping somewhere unfamiliar try getting a sound maker ap if you are having trouble sleeping.

Temperature: Although it varies between people, sleep can be disrupted if temperatures reach above 75 or below 54 degrees.  Scientists are still unsure about the ideal temperature for sleep because of the different covers and clothing that people wear to bed, however they recommend a cool room with lots of blankets and pillows.

Light: Sleep is regulated with light and lack of.  Outdoor light is the most powerful factor when trying to regulate your sleeping patterns.  Make sure you find the right balance between darkness and light when trying get a deep sleep.
