Are there any healthy fad diets out there?

After listening to the nutritionist discuss a few of the fad diets and our readings last week I was interested in seeing if there were any popular diets that were healthy. Truth is, there aren't many. Most of the fad diets out there now are promising a quick fix, a fast way to lose weight. Normally you are severely altering your diet to certain foods, and cutting calorie intake. These diets are not a healthy long term solution because they cause harm to your body. The majority of these diets are robbing your body of important nutrients and energy needed to survive. Once finished with these fad diets, people normally go back to their old eating habits and regain the weight. The two diets I found that work are Weight Watchers and the Best Life Diet. Weight Watchers can work because it is based on science, so as long as you are keeping healthy eating in mind, you can usually change your eating habits to become healthier. Weight Watchers also recommends exercise, which as we know can be very important in healthy living. The Best Life Diet is a good option because it's a comprehensive plan for changing the way you eat, exercise, and live to achieve better health. It is a long term plan that takes in all aspects of health in order for you to lose weight. In order to assess whether a diet seems realistic or healthy look at what they are advertising, if it's a quick fix then its probably going to be bad for your health.
