With the many different religious around the world there are many different views people have about the relationship between spirituality and health. Many Americans would consider themselves Christians. In this day and age many religious groups would agree that religion and spirituality have a positive affect on your health (Harold Koenig, 2013). There have been more studies conducted to prove why and how religion and spirituality have positive affects on mental and physical health that many religious groups would agree with. However, different religious groups have different views on how you should connect your spirituality and health. By saying this, I mean the actions you should take on your health related to your spirituality vary from group to group. Many Christians would agree there are positive affects on your health with the increase on religion and spirituality but they don't have as many "rules" as Moron's have. For example, while Moron's believe they shouldn't drink coffee or tea because they don't want to be dependent on anything, Baptist don't practice that belief.
The bottom line is some religious groups believe in valuing your body more than others. While many religious groups agree that sex before marriage and drinking alcohol is wrong, other religious groups believe anything that you are dependent on isn't valuing your body. For example, smoking and coffee would be considered bad for your body which would be against Moron's beliefs. On the other had, many people who would consider themselves religious or spiritual wouldn't think twice about drinking coffee or smoking a cigarette.
